Valeria Di Tommaso
my work
…involves the creation of woodcuts, intaglio prints, drawings and three-dimensional pieces in which space and form push each other’s boundaries. A strong graphic line, the use of bold strokes and vibrant colours on open surfaces, are the core elements in this interplay.
I explore a lyrical landscape, where line and form intertwine and overlap, advance and retreat, creating a dialogue between positive and negative, rythm and structure, space shaping form, and colour rises with evocative autonomy.
This geographical universe reflects on the natural and the urban, blending the seen with the imagined, inviting you to experience a visual diary that unfolds in series, brief chapters, connected short stories, which compose my personal atlas.
